Learning outcome: • Learn and understand the sequence of events that led up to the Gunpowder Plot • Gain an understanding of why people in the past acted like they did • What discrimination is and what it led to • Understand the difference between the Catholics and Protestant faith at the time of the plot. • Understand how locally, the family that owned the 1620s house (the Digby family) were involved in the plot. • Develop the children’s speaking, listening, participation and thinking skills through role play, story telling and debate
