Bosworth Medieval Festival 2026

Following a post event meeting and receiving some valuable feedback from both visitor and non-visitors, we’ve taken the difficult decision to make the Bosworth Medieval Festival a bi-annual event. Many things were considered in making this decision, but we have found that in recent years the extra time between the large-scale events gives us better opportunities to develop the experience for our customers. It also gives us time to allocate resources to other events and our everyday offer which are vital to keeping our heritage site operating successfully. 

We’ve got an exciting programme planned in for 2025 which will involve lots of opportunities for authentic medieval experiences as well as some new events and a celebration event as we reach a decade since Richard III was reinterred. We still plan to have a fantastic weekend at the Battlefield centre on the 16 and 17 August which will be a new event called DragonFest (keep an eye on our what’s on page for details). We will also have our traditional commemorative rose laying ceremony on the 22 August.
